Synthesia Adds an Interactive Avatar of Its Corporate Affairs Head to Answer Press Questions
Synthesia now sends reporters an AI-generated version of its own spokesperson to answer live questions, using his real voice and likeness, testing how comfortable the press and public are talking to a synthetic stand-in for a real executive.

Synthesia announced the addition in a blog post titled “Say Hello to Synthesia’s New AI Press Officer,” dated August 26, 2026 and written by Alexandru Voica, who is identified in the byline as head of corporate affairs and policy at Synthesia. In the post, Synthesia said it was introducing an AI press officer to its Newsroom: an Interactive Avatar built with the voice and likeness of Voica, its global head of corporate affairs, that answers questions about Synthesia in a live conversation, drawing on information about the company provided by a large language model.
The press officer runs on Synthesia’s Interactive Avatars technology, which the company says lets an avatar listen, talk and respond as a person speaks. Synthesia renders the avatar, including its speech and expressions, while the conversation draws on company information provided by a large language model trained to retain Synthesia-related facts and figures.
In a blog post introducing the AI press officer, Synthesia says the avatar is designed to answer a range of general questions about the company: what it does, how the platform works, its approach to responsible AI, and how customers use its products. For anything more specific, including media requests, interview scheduling, and questions about particular announcements, the post directs people to email [email protected], where a member of the team will get back to them.
In the Synthesia blog post “Say Hello to Synthesia’s New AI Press Officer” (August 26, 2026), Alexandru Voica wrote that “The press officer is itself an example of how we build and ship innovative experiences quickly and transparently.”
